No. Usually we are allowed into the chapel, but not into any other buildings within the college.

It should be noted that all colleges are closed to visitors during the examination period, from May through to mid-June.
For the rest of the year, opening times vary depending upon the college. For example:
Christ’s College is only open to visitors from 9am–12 noon.
Emmanuel College is open from 9am–6pm.

It depends on the type of tour.
For the general historical tour, we aim to go into one free college (subject to availability), usually Pembroke or Emmanuel.
For other specific themed tours, we would go into the appropriate college. For example, on the Royal Tour we would go into King’s College (entrance fee approximately £15–18 per person) and Queens’ College (entrance fee approximately £5 per person).
As registered Cambridge guides, we are limited to 20 persons per guide.

Yes, some colleges do charge an entry fee, and this cost is in addition to the guide’s fee.
Private tours
Private tours can be cancelled with full refund up to 72 hours before the time of the tour. If you cancel after this we will still need to pay the guide in full. We therefore reserve the right to retain 50% of the tour fee as a contribution towards the guiding fees. If you cancel within 24 hours of th time of the tour we reserve the right to retain 75% of the tour fee.
